Covid-19 Update on Services

The church is currently open as follows:

Private Prayer - Monday to Saturday, 9am - 5pm

You are welcome to come along to our Sunday morning services in person or you can join us via Zoom.

If you wish to join a service in church or come for private prayer please be aware that face coverings are mandatory at all times and kindly follow the guidance in place to ensure social distancing and sanitising measures.

Our Sunday services are still a bit different due to ongoing restrictions.   Our 10.30am service is currently All Age each week as we are not holding children's groups at the moment but our Explore@4 service is geared more towards younger children and their families.

Congregational singing in church is not allowed during services but we do encourage all those watching from home to sing enthusiastically!

We have two worship services each Sunday morning and our new Explore@4 service at 4pm every other week. The Sunday services are each different and designed to enable everyone to find something that suits their needs.

9:00am, Traditional Service
The 9am is a more traditional Church of England service. We sing hymns accompanied by a choir and organ and follow a set pattern each week. We share communion 3 times per month on the 1st, 3rd and 4th of each month and enjoy morning worship on the 2nd Sunday. The 4th Sunday of the month usually uses the Book of Common Prayer with its rich Elizabethan language known to many older people.  This service lasts an hour.

10:30am, All Age Worship
The 10.30 is our main service and has activities specifically aimed for children available at each service normally in children and youth groups in the hall or sometimes in the main service when we worship all together. We share communion once a month on the 2nd Sunday of the month. The singing is led by a band and we sing a mixture of hymns and more contemporary songs. This service is more informal than the 9am and has many children, families and people of all ages and at all stages of life.  This service is usually finished around 11.45.

Explore@4 where we explore a bible story or passage in creative ways is held fortnightly from 4-5pm.  The church will be largely cleared of chairs and households will be invited to sit together as an 'island'. After listening to a Bible story together, there will be the opportunity to explore the theme in different zones, using some questions as a prompt. Depending on what you enjoy doing you might choose to reflect using various craft materials, or paper and pencils, or you may prefer to visit the Discussion Zone and talk your thoughts through. There will be Lego, Duplo, and other construction materials for busy fingers that like doing and a space for those that prefer to sit quietly. After this time of exploring and reflecting, there will be a chance to share and learn from one another, ending with a time of prayer and music.

If you have any questions about our Worship Services or need to get in touch with us about any other enquiry we will be happy to help. Please Contact Us for more information and for Zoom log-in details.
