What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be singing, prayers, a bible reading and a sermon helping us to engage and apply that bible reading.   At both the 9am and 10.30 service all the words are on screens around the church.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.  NB: We are hoping to resume serving refreshments after our 9am and 10.30am services from Sunday 27 March.  It would be lovely if you could stay on and join us if you feel happy to do so.

What happens for children and young people at church?

At the 10.30 service we have a fantastic programme for the children and young people at the Church.

On Week A we will have our SHINE on Sunday groups for 0-14 year olds.  We start the service together in the church.   Someone will announce when the children need to go to their groups and we will be able to pray for each other before we separate.  You will need to go with your children the first time and register them. You can then return to hear the sermon once your children and settled and we will reunite for the end of the service.

On Week B for our new Communion for Everyone service we will remain in the church throughout.

We also have our 4pm services which alternate each week starting from 5th September 2021:

Together@4 is a new expression of worship.  We're wanting to seek God together in how we do welcome, worship, word and witness with an informal structure.  It is open to everyone but particularly relevant to adults aged 14 upwards.

Our sister event, Explore@4 is on the alternate Sundays and is suited for families of younger children with crafts, bible stories and passages using contemporary worship.  There is opportunity for discussion and reflection too.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under Youth & Children.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
